The Senators consists of approximately 80 marching members. The Corps rehearses every other weekend during Winter at our Headquarters, the Nightingale Centre in Eastleigh. In Summer the Corps rehearses at our fantastic facility at Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh.
The Senators have had a very distinguished competitive career in the Corps' 23 year history, we are currently the most successful active Drum & Bugle Corps in the United Kingdom.
We pride ourselves on having a very strong Design, Instructional, Management and Support Staff, and this allows our members to gain the best possible experience whilst involved with the Senators.
For our 2007 production, the Senators are to perform a production entitled “Shuffle Up and Deal”. We aim to make the show entertaining to performer, audience and critic alike. For more information on our 2007 show please click here.
The Corps has a busy schedule throughout the year. Our aim is always to give our members a mix of Competitive and Performance opportunities, as detailed further in this site. 2007 will see the Corps travel to mainland Europe on at least two occasions as we enter the WAMSB European show in Holland in June featuring The Caballeros from the USA, plus we will again compete at the 2007 Drum Corps Europe Championships in September.
The Senators are always interested in new members joining our ranks. We also have a successful feeding program with our Junior Corps to introduce the youth of Eastleigh to the Marching Band activity, where they train them from scratch which after time allows them to move up to the Senators.
