Senators Juniors

The Senators Junior Corps was formed in the winter of 2000. The initial goal behind the Junior Corps was to introduce and train new members into the Senators Organisation, particularly in the younger 8-14 age ranges.

The Junior Corps has had success both on and off the field of Competition. In our short life time we have been DCUK Junior Class Champions and also seen 10 of our members progress through our ranks and march with the Senators main Corps where they will continue to further progress their musical talents.

The Junior Corps currently has a membership of 25 and we rehearse during the winter on a Thursday evening at our headquarters at the Nightingale Centre in Eastleigh. We aim to give new members the chance to have instruction on Brass and Percussion Instruments as well as teaching them in the art of movement and dance.

During the summer months our diary is full of local engagements at fetes, schools and carnivals, as well as our competitive commitments in DCUK Junior Class where we travel throughout the country.

The Corps is run by a dedicated team of local Instructors who have all marched with the Senators in the past and we offer a light hearted and fun environment for younger members to learn and progress their new found talents.

Our 2006 production is entitled "We will rock you" and features the music of the rock group QUEEN. Please click here for more information on the 2006 Senators Junior Corps.
